Prize

IPEG Prize (formerly - Turan M Itil Memorial Grant)

Donators

As of 2024, the IPEG Prize (formerly Turin Prize) is funded by IPEG. The Turan M Itil Memorial Grant was kindly provided by his daughter Yasmin Itil Leland.

Jury

The IPEG Prize (formerly the Turan M Itil Memorial Grant) is awarded during the biennal IPEG Conferences to honour the best contributions made by a senior researcher during the past years. These contributions should be echoing the vibrant and enthusiastic way of Itil´s research. It should inspire young researchers for the complex and fascinating spectrum of EEG research as well as the relevance of tutorship – as Turan Itil was the mentor of many well-known pharmaco-EEG scientists. Only the best researchers in the field will be taken into account and the Itil family will, advised by the IPEG board of directors, chose the winner. The name of the winner is communicated during the IPEG Conference.

Prof. Werner M. Herrmann Memorial Grant

Donators

The Werner M. Herrmann Memorial Grant has been most kindly provided till 2020 by a bequest of prof Herrmann via PAREXEL International GmbH. The WM Hermann Memorial Grant is now continued by the IPEG as a prize for young researcher to commemorate prof dr Herrmann as a founding member of IPEG and as a major contributor to the field of pharmaco-EEG.

Jury

The Werner M. Herrmann Memorial Grant is awarded during the biennial IPEG Conferences to honour the best contribution made by a young researcher (poster or oral communication) in the field of electrophysiological brain research in preclinical and clinical pharmacology, neurotoxicology and related areas of interest. The winner is chosen by a jury composed of the IPEG-President, the Conference Chairman and one IPEG board member. In case the IPEG-President is in person also the Conference Chairman, a further IPEG board member joins the jury. The name of the winner is communicated at the closing session of the Conference.
